Originally, a friend sent a small picture of this to me. Being captivated by it, I was persistent enough to hunt down someone who might know which spacecraft it came from. The gentleman who I contacted gave me the full resolution picture complete with the fact that it was from the SOHO spacecraft (Unfortunately, the original picture email was lost with time, so this is from memory). This image was taken in Ultraviolet light of a solar flare. I fixed up the picture as there were obvious places where the data was corrupted when the picture was sent back to earth. I hope you enjoy!
