This is St Andrews Anglican Memorial Church at Maheno,North Otago, New Zealand c1936 . . . . It was privately built in remembrance of the family of Joseph Cowie Nichols (of Kuriheka) who lost two sons in the First World War.It also functions as a general war memorial and it has numerous memorial brasses. . . . I gave myself an 'assignment' of photographing churches in this area on Easter Day. This is one of 20 I captured. The variety of architecture is as varied as the denominations represented. This is not the most imposing but I think it is one of the most attractive and inviting ones. Thank you for viewing. Any comments always welcome and always appreciated.
