I visited Kyoto in 2014 and loved it. This is Kyoto, which is a low rise city, no skyscrapers to be seen, viewed thru one of the small pavilions at the entrance to Kiyomizu-Dera Temple, which is a world heritage site and a fantastic place to visit. For me the frame of the view is more important than the view, so the title is a bit misleading.
