This was taken at Pennington Flash at Leigh. The word 'Flash' applies to area's of land that, as a result of the Coal Industry, have 'collapsed'and filled with water. Sadly, the coal industry in the UK, is almost non existant. Beneath this 'Flash' are two Farm houses and ancillary buildings. The area is now a local beauty spot ideal for family picnics and Granddads with camera's !!
