On request I present the caste in which I shot "Mirror refections". This castle is the unsurpassed object of envy of the Sun King Louis XIV. The story goes like this: the castle was the estate of Nicolas Fouquet. He was the Lord high treasurer of Louis XIV (no wonder where he got the money from). In the middle of the 17th century the castle was the most elegant and mordern masterpiece that none of the royal properties, at that time, could compete with. The treasurer made one mortal mistake however. In his pride he invited the young Sun King and showed him his castle. The Sun King reacted a bit different than Fouquet expected. He became so irritated and outraged by such ostentationous display, that he condemned Fouquet to life emprissonment! Louis XIV then took inspiration from Vaux to build the world famous Versailles in Paris, which you may know. I can tell from experience however, that this (smaller) estate is more enjoyable than it's younger famous brother. I hope you enjoy the picture and the story!
