A sunset of many emotions. The pilings once held seafood restaurants over the waters of Lake Pontchartrain. On any night, particularly in the summer months, this area was bustling with families enjoying the view of the Lake and the wonderful shrimp, crabs and fish that came from the Lake. Hurricane Katrina in August 2005 swept everything away and all that was left were these pilings. Not one trace of any restaurant ever showed up.
