This time another aspect of the Zeeland Folklore. Those ancient, already reconstructed, wooden fishing boats were sailing to Arnemuiden, Zeeland, the Netherlands, on the occasion of the official re-opening of an ancient shipyard there and were given a hearty welcome by two Arnemuiden women in traditional clothes. The shipyard is used now to reconstruct more ancient wooden fishing boats. Can't help it that the sky was hazy this day. PS: only a few women in Zeeland are still wearing traditional clothes on a daily basis. The women at this picture are wearing these traditional clothes only by special events.
