The Dutch lightship 'Texel' (Lightship No. 10) was built in 1951 by the Rijkswerf (governmental shipyard) 'Willemsoord' in Den Helder. The ship was in service from September 30th, 1952 to early 1992. Since 1996, the lightship has been moored as a museum ship in the museum harbor of Den Helder.
