This is another image of the Monnikendam, a historic water gate and bridge structure in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. The image was taken in the Fall of 2025 too (November 8th).
The structure dates back to the 15th century, built around 1427. It served as part of the city's second line of defense and was used to regulate water levels in the city moat.
Currently, the building houses a restaurant, known as 'Restaurant de Monnikendam'.
PS: when I saw this scene, the saying 'Light at the end of the tunnel' came into my mind, but I'm not dealing with a difficult or unpleasant situation at the moment however (😁), so the main reason why I took this image was the vibrant yellow foliage and reflections in the water below.
