On April 18th, 2026, a flower parade was held once again in the Bollenstreek (Bulb Region), The Netherlands. The parade is an annual procession of floats richly decorated with spring flowers.

Unfortunately, I couldn't attend this event. However, no worries, because the following day the floats were on display in the city of Haarlem. I was able to attend there and had the opportunity to take numerous photographs.

So, this photograph is the first one in a new series, consisting of some selections taken that day.

PS: During the parade, the floats cover a route of 42 kilometers, from Noordwijk to Haarlem. The basis of the floats consists mainly of hyacinths, supplemented with tulips and daffodils. The event attracts more than a million visitors annually.
