...and a closer look at Stift Nonnberg the convent on the south side of the Hohensalzburg Fortress and founded in the year 700!! ..and sometimes called "Marias convent" for obvious reasons! Amazing historical building! I walked around the grounds and I might well have been back in the year 700 - it was so quiet and no-one was around! That was one thing I really enjoyed about my visit. I was there mid-week and inbetween celebrations and there weren't too many tourists around (except me of course! lol!)
