.....and here you are Loch Lomond with a straight horizon! :):) (put that tape measure away Jerry!) listen to me - a woman is always right! ok! say yes you agree! lol! and as I am deleting the original image, I am copy pasting the text: .....as the song goes. On Wednesday I left Edinburgh on a tour to Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond - we were a party of just 11 travelling in a Mercedes minibus and our driver was called Donald of course ;) He was a mind of information and could quote any fact about Scottish history and what a character he was. This was our final destination of the day - Balmaha on the banks of Loch Lomond. The Loch is the largest single waterway in Britain and measures 27 square miles - it is stunningly beautiful especially on a good day and I was lucky to have good weather on Wednesday too. We walked part way around the lake and up a steep hill, stopping for oxygen half way up - I was pooped! lol! but when we got to the top the view was magnificent - more photos from there to post later. This view is when we had made the descent and stood at the side of the Loch - hence the title, on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond! :)
