In this pic im stood up to my knees in freezing Dartmoor water.... i watched 2 of these fluttering about, and they definatley did not want to sit still... took over 1/2 hr to get this pic.. I think this is a damselfly rather than a dragonfly, and it was beating its wings like a butterfly, very graceful *edit* i belive this is Calopteryx virgo
