This is "Buckey" (I know, not very original). He and his brother visit us almost daily. I thought it might be interesting for some to see the early stages of antler growth. This not a very clear shot because it was taken through the window screen. Notice the "velvet" covering the horn. This will be rubbed off by scraping them against our trees in the woods, and then the points will start to grow. They won't eat the Lavender, but love the wild sweet peas growing throughout. Just an FYI post...
