Today is the late, great Maurice Sendak's 85th birthday. He wrote a children's book called "Where the Wild Things Are" and many other wonderful books. This story brings back warm memories of my Mom reading it to me as a child. Of course I also read it to my own Daughter more times than I could ever count and hopefully she will do the same with her children. Thank you Maurice. ***The candle is my own, although it's not a birthday candle, I thought Maurice would like it. The darkness reminds me of bedtime as a child.
