That is the name of this unusual variety of bleeding heart. Named for it's richly colored golden leaves, the leaves are different but the flowers are the same as other varieties. To the right is a peony bud which will be opening in the next week or so. This was shot in early morning light and is my first successful shot of this flower. In the spring, when they bloom, my area is always so windy I mostly get blurred images as they move at the least little stir of air and I have been trying for several years now!
