Thanks for the partial answer. You and have not told under what laws they are considered. And why then two photos of the same categories (Insects) have mine different RCI?
CI calculates averages based on ratings of all categories (i.e. apples, oranges, pineapples, grapes and tomatoes) while RCI only calculates averages based on ratings of each category (i.e. apples.)
RCI scores can still vary, just as ratings of the quality of apples can vary - - some apples might be the cream of the crop while others may be rotten.
Not absolutely that! Tell then the following: whether are considered CI and RCI automatically under the concrete formula? If yes that on what?
For example I have understood that:
CI=Round(E/q*10),
where E is the sum of balls from voting (1-10)
q - quantity voted
Round - operation of a rounding off.
Yes or not?
As per Caedes.net definition, "RCI is the relative c-index for the image calculated versus only the other images in the same top-level gallery..." OR the average of scores ONLY for images in the same "top-level gallery."
As for just how the C-index and RCI AVERAGES are calculated, my understanding is as yours - - it is the AVERAGE of all scores on that image (scores summed divided by the number of scores.) If there is a more complex formula for calculating these averages, I have not seen it revealed here. Wen
'CI calculates averages based on ratings of all categories (i.e. apples, oranges, pineapples, grapes and tomatoes) while RCI only calculates averages based on ratings of each category (i.e. apples.) '
I thought it vice verse, really. So where is the truth?
there - we have had a multitude of answers in various degrees of janet & john speak - the clue to the RCI is the RELATIVE bit and as that isn't displayed generally it can be implied that it isn't the primary number - only RELATIVE to the other images in its chosen gallery.
Why RCI different at various photos of the same galleries?
Thanks.
Andrey.
