Well, I have surgery tomorrow, they will be attempting to re-construct my arm after that doozy of a fall a year ago (requiring surgery and partial elbow removal). Anyhow, between the cast and drugs I won't be online for a few weeks...but I will be back...hopefully in one piece--as visions of the Bionic Woman play in my head(we can rebuild her, make her stronger...). Lauren, you will have to live without my daily funny emails...and spiritual upliftings, but I have heard that chocolate is a great cure-all and can fill the void left behind. Mimi, thank you for the wonderful well wishes. Cat, kick everyone's @ss around here for me (now that you are a Big Kahuna). Les...I got my MP3 player locked and loaded, so when you hear a Jimmy Buffett song tomorrow, think good thoughts for me.
Nervous? What makes you think I am nervous...I am not nervous...ok, well maybe a little.
Jenn, I'm going to miss you, not your funny & uplifting emails that make my days. I know you're nervous hon but I plan on being with you in spirit, if not in flesh.... especially if the meds are any good. ;)
But .... just to show you how much I care, you can have my Godiva.
Enjoy.
Oh yeah... I did take the raspberry filled feather, sorry it's my favorite.
Well folks, I go in for my surgery in about a half hour (noon). The surgery will take a few hours then post-op, then they say I should be home by dinner.
I think what bugs me the most is that after almost a year, I finally have figured out how to do things with my pretty useless arm (I am a righty...why couldn't it have been my left arm?) and now I am back to square one. There may be one more surgery in my future to fix ligaments...and there is no promise that this will correct things, so I may be looking at multiple surgeries...so keep your fingers crossed for me that my doctor does well...that he got a little nookie last night, had a good breakfast, and that all is happy in his world...I'd hate for him to be having a bad day while working on me!!!
I'll update when I am able to (not so drugged up). I have become pretty good at typing one handed.
Surgery went well. I have 31 staples in, and they just removed a drain tube. ick!
Percocet is my best friend right now, especially since i had to start PT the very next day from surgery. I am "hanging" in there.
Keith...don't you dare make threats like that!!!
"If'n you're not back soon ... I think I oughta sell YOUR Raiders to Ottawa"
yikes!!!
Nervous? What makes you think I am nervous...I am not nervous...ok, well maybe a little.
I'll be back (in Governator accent).
Elvis has left the building.
