First off hey to everyone... I figured out why I dont post as many pictures as I use to its becuase i hate fooling with the camera i got. So...
Im looking for a new camera. Things i want in the camera are, DSLR, i really wanted the Canon Rebel XTI but they stopped makeing it. And i dont want to spend over $500.. somewhere between $400 and $450 preferebly... any ideas
You might also check out Nikon cameras, there are very good cameras too.It is not easy to give an advice as the prices are not the same here but some people here will be able to give you good advices, good luck.
I like the Nikon D70....I purchased that plus a Sigma 70-300mm lens for $400.00. But I bought it from a friend who sells on Ebay and that was the going price for what she had. I love it to this day.
Very good prices and qaulity can be found on Ebay...if you are careful and only buy from well established buyers and check them out, if possible, from other sources on the internet. I got my xti for less than $400 and have been extremely pleased. If they don't have many transactions ask if they are willing to use Ebays escrow system.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving
safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in
sideways, body
thoroughly used up and totally worn out, screaming "WOO HOO - What a Ride!"
Hey all.
I've finally found a camera that is on offer and seems to have good reviews as a first time SLR.
What do you all think of the Nikon D3000 for my first decent camera?
Good for you, Bonnie! That's a major achievement to have lost a lot of weight and a great idea to treat yourself to a DSLR for all your hard work and discipline.
I see there's some really good deals here in the UK right now for the D3000 + kit lens - around £350 (and £120+ for a lightly used one on eBay!).
Hope you get a good bargain and looking forward to seeing some sample pics from your new camera.
Yup, I'm looking at a new one from Amazon with some kit for £334.70!
I'm looking forward to learning to use it properly and getting out there hunting for shots :)
(I'm over the moon about the weight so far..I've lost 75.6 lbs)
Good grief, woman! A loss of 5.25 stones is a fantastic result! Congratulations!!! You must be a former shadow of yourself and feeling as light as air. :)
Bonnie, it looks like a great camera. I just looked at it on Amazon. It appears not to come with a memory card so, if you do not have one, you will want to add one to your order! Best wishes with the new camera and I am looking forward to your new pictures with it.
Hi Bonnie. I have a Nikon D3000 kit (Body and 18-55 lens). I bought it 31th of May. In my gallery from Zakkum in my 6th page to newer all (but 2 or 3) taken by this camera. I have to say that it won't be the same as your FinePix A405. Many things will be very very different. If you buy a Nikon D3000 then I am ready to help you.
I got my camera today :)
I also bought a book to teach me how to use it properly.
Thank you for the offer to help..I am sure I'll need it hehe.
Very excited, tomorrow I start studying it.
