Yes, unfortunately it turned out that I wasn't able to keep up, and the other active mods have not had the time to be on top of it either. We do hope to resume at some point before the end of the year.

I have suggested this before but it was dismissed - could there not be a photo chosen and that person selects the next one ? Weekly fortnightly or whatever.
It worked perfectly well with the B& W challenge for many years and it works well on a couple of groups I belong to on Facebook. Last time I suggested it, it was argued it would lead to favouritism etc but with just 80 active members now and fewer daily posts than I can ever remember surely that would not be an issue ? The fact is, the person WOULD be choosing their favourite for that week and as long as that is understood I can not and never could see the problem. I do not believe it ever was a problem with BW Challenge anyway. It could be called Favourite Of The Week or PIck Of The Week and would require minimal input from anyone except the person choosing.
With Promotions seemingly abandoned (nothing since May) it would be good to have some added interest. Are Promotions not being done any more ? There must have been some deserving images since May.

No, it was Mimi trying to get my attention since I was running the IotW and do hope to do so again. I'm on workcation so it took a bit for me to get back here.
How about calling it Member's Choice? I agree that I see no issue as long as it is setup the way you are describing from the beginning.
