Isnt there some way we could share artwork here without having the feeling it HAS to be a wallpaper photo? Can there be a heading for "Art" or maybe "Artwork"...something that would NOT be considered for wallpaper exactly. I would love to see others artwork, even tho I KNOW this is basically a wallpaper site. I enjoy the creative side of people very much and would think there are others who feel the same way. That way we can share what we do and we can make comments and learn from each other. For example, I was looking at the newest posting by PhilUK of the metal/brick/wood etc and the one of the lock aNd chain...its fantastic work...I wouldnt use it for desktop, but I would love keeping it in my own folder that has art from people...any thought on this?

why cant you download it and save it to a folder? you DONT have to download images just for wallpaper use.. as long as its for your private use it can be put into a folder on your computer..

I understand. I know I can do that. But I was hesitating posting art, because I thought we really shouldn't? because it's not for wallpaper...guess I had it wrong..sorry

You can do anything...if you don't quit!....
what do you mean by posting art...? as long as its on your personal computer for your personal use (that is too look at).... I have images on mine even if they dont come under the heading of wallpaper.. if i like it i put it on the desktop anyway... any image can be used as a desk top..

This topic is being pretty actively discussed here. It's something that we're been around several times. I personally would like a place where I could distribute artwork, but I don't think Caedes is the appropriate place for it. Several problems arise when you branch out into art. 1) copyrights. 2) Competition. There aren't too many sites competing with Caedes in the desktop area, but in the artwork area there are legion.

I made a discussion about that before, like a museum type thing, you look at the images but they don't have to be for wallpaper, it didn't go anywhere though, I hope it does though.
