I was just thinking, there are a lot of members that have just left of just forgot to come back, so I was thinking...what about something like, if a member's been gone for over a month, they recieve an e-mail reminding them to come back or something like that.

aaaaaaack. I'm not so sure that I like that idea. I think alot of time when people don't come back it's because they don't want to for a reason, not because they've forgotten.

If it was going to be done, I think a one-time e-mail 3 months later inviting someone to come back and join the fun would be okay, but otherwise it falls in the "spam" category to me.

Of course… if you personally have contact w/someone outside of the site, feel free to pester them all you want… right up until they hit the iggy button *click* ahhhh… the blessed silence

One man sees things and says "why?", but I dream things that never were and say "why not?"

Yea but like some artists still left their art on the site, that's why I brought this up.

fly over in a plane and drop leaflets ... far cheaper than all those individual e-mailings and your bound to 'remind' more than one lost member with a one-time bulk printing of 5,000,000 leaflets

$10,000 ... printing
$200,000 ..cleanup of litter ...
$100,000 ..lawsuits due to litter and accidents
$25,000 ... chartering the plane
-------------------------------------------------
$335,000 ... total

... see?

Maybe they have creative blocks or moved onto something else for a hobby?
