Did someone ever give you some great advice that has influenced you? What did they say and how did it affect you?

Someone once advised I get outa town....I was so influenced that I did.

You are so funny! But now you are in a new town and how long have you been there???

1) - Never lie if you can avoid it. Your word is worth more if people know it's the truth.

2) - Always do your best on every job even if you undersold it, or the customer isn't paying for extras. Your finished work is an advertisement to future customers

3) - Learn to pick your fights. If you only fight about some things instead of everything, you are more likely to be taken seriously.

4) - "Let's agree to disagree" can save your friendship/relationship.

5) - Any time you work to change something about yourself, you will always have times when you backslide. Don't beat yourself up over them, just acknowledge, pick yourself back up and keep moving forward.

6) - Be yourself - even if it means being a goofball @ having people following you around and pointing & snickering 8•P

My best friend told me once...as long as what I do brings me happiness, to hell with what people think...just be true to myself at all times. And yes...to this day, I do what makes me happy...even if it doesn't fit in with society's moldings.

To Miss Candy: I have been here for thirty years now. Do you know how hard it is to hide that long? I'm tired of the makeup and dresses. I can't walk in heels and I'm afraid someone is going to catch on because of my wearing boots with a dress. The only advantage is that when I am standing in a river taking a picture, I don't get my pants wet. Now picture this ugly woman in a dress standing in a river with a camera. That's another reason I don't wear heels...have you ever tried walking on river banks in heels?

And thanks for Cat's #6 I feel so much better now. I am inspired.

A Rabbit was crossing the railroad tracks, when along came a train, and cut off part of the rabbits tail. The rabbit tried to recover his tail, but he then got his head cut off. The Moral? Never lose your head over a piece off tail.

A note to Blinky up there...you can't say that if you mean it. It has to be acting like on TV. Big Caedes guy said so. Now stop that infernal blinking or someone is going to slap you!! That's good advice.
