I was editing a picture this evening in ps, and i had the greens the way i wanted them so i saved it. I opened it up after and the green had changed on me. Im thinking this may be due to the color profile changing on me when it is saved to a jpg. Does anyone know what profile that might be that it is changing to, or does anyone have another explination for that change.

do you have color profiling turned on?

if so… you may have accidentally converted a profile wrong.

most likely you told it to "assign" the color profile you have as your preference to it, rather than "convert"

Where do i check to see if that is the case?

go under your color preferences, and set them to "convert to working profile" and to ask when there's a profile mismatch.

Unfortunately, you'll probably have to start over on the image from your original, but @ least it'll never happen again!

Alright I found that, so i will see how it works, but now i forsee another problem. I first do some editing in nikon capture with my raw files, so im thinking they will change when they go into photoshop. I wonder how i can set that program to do a similar thing. hmm

Actually, it'll be fine. Because you're now converting rather than assigning, it will switch the colors over and remap them for the profile you're now working in 8•)
