You could take "Wine and Roses" literally or metaphorically (e.g. as the good life or pleasant circumstance).

I feel that there is something strange about this "Numbers &Letters". Hope the mods will look into it. Something similar has happened before.

Join me in Raj's comments above. Yesterday night (European time) the topic 'Numbers & Letters' didn't exist, and within a couple of hours, even in the time that the Caedes members activity is low (because of the time difference) it had in a 'split second' 8 votes up till now. To me, far beyond the normal voting pattern for a contest topic!

I won't participate in the 'Numbers & Letters' contest for reasons mentioned above!

Another reason is that this topic already has been chosen. The topic name however was 'Letters & Numbers' instead of 'Number & Letters'. Please check-out THIS LINK!!! Frank (bfrank) was the winner.

I also will not participate in this contest as there was something very fishy in the way that topic wasn't even there and then was winning by a large margin.

I am also boycotting the contest if the topic remains as it is.

I agree with the above, this seems strange, and a fraud. I hope this will be corrected.

Mr.C i do remember that one from the link you provide. i also remember doing quite poorly. as for this letters and numbers showing up? it did pop out of no where! i was on looking at the topics and it wasnt there. about 10 mins or so i went back and it was far in the lead. i just figured someone put it up and everyone changed their mind at the last minute...idk, weird no doubt. sure has been a lot of controversy surrounding these contest.

To prevent possible misunderstanding:
I never expressed any suspicion or accusation against any person. I have mentioned only a phenomenon that apparently could punish the laws of logic.
I have also argued that 'Numbers & Letters' was previously the subject of a contest, with the only difference that then its name was 'Letters & Numbers'.
