Been trying to figure out whether or not you did some stuff in post processing, or.. shot this one through something?
(There are elements in/of the bokeh that add to this mystery of sorts, to my eyes and mind.)
I don't think, and I could be wrong.. that simply dialing in the DOF is the visual result of what we are seeing within frame.
Like Bethany above, a part of me does wish to see more of.. as in, a wider/deeper DOF.
On the note of sharpening, and in my humble opinion ... clarity and focus, as is ... and presented, with respect to the areas in focus ... are fine.
Exposure is good good. Composition as well.
Very nice shot and one that would keep me looking at it for some.. ahem ... time. There's lots to like and take in, despite it's simplicity.
