This plant is several years old. I don't know the name of it. Yesterday it had a bloom for the first time. This color brightens up any room. I hope you like it.

Hi Carolyn.
A beautiful flower! So red! I love them. Looks like what we call here Amaryllis. They are very impressive flowers with lots and lots of colour. You captured it so well here. Great job

Hey there Carolyn, not bad, not bad at all. That is a beautiful flower. I like the title also. It is very descriptive of what we see in the flower. The flower is so beautiful I would have zeroed in on that much closer and left all the other background out. But, nice post and I hope to see more from you.Pat

Hi Carolyn. Great focus on the flower, yet, leaves the background in focus just enough to be mysterious. I really like it;-).

What a beautifully vivid. bold Amaryllis bloom Carolyn! These flowers have always fascinated me. My mother-in-law grows them in the winter and they are so big and beautiful You captured this pretty one with your camera so you could share it with all of us. Thank you my friend. I will enjoy it a lot :)
Thanks also for stopping by ~mediation~This is monastery in Mount Angles, Oregon. The place was so peaceful that I was ready to just lay down. My spirit became very quiet and I felt so connected to everything. I wish I could have brought that back to all my friends here at caedes.net. I am grateful that you were able to enjoy a small piece of it.
Thanks also for visiting ~pretty in pink~. That is one of my all-time favorite photo's. I like the color of them as well as the angle that I shot them at. They do make a nice desktop. I know because I had them on my desktop for about a month after I took the image :) They evens smelled good :)
Thanks also for the visit to ~solitude~. That bud looked so lovely in the water that the staff so kindly provided and then Mother Nature provided the perfect shaft of light so all I had to do was point and shoot the camera. Glad you enjoyed that image as well.
Thanks for stopping by. The door is always open and the coffee is always on :~) Come by anytime!!

I love that flower photo. The deep red with the yellow almost luminous. I have a photo I shot of a blue flower where the center almost took on a glow effect. If I can find the one that is clear I'll post it. Flowers have always been one of my favorite subjects to take pics of. I remember my first camera when I was a kid. My family got a kick out of the pictures once they had them developed. Mostly flowers, trees and my dad's old 69 Dodge Charger. Thanks for sharing the photo. I'll be coming back regular to see more of your wonderful work.

Yesterday's history. Tomorrow's a mystery. Today's a gift. That's why it's called the present.
