Took me a while to get a nice picture of my piano which I don't play anymore but still love the design. This was shot with my new Canon Powershot SD850 IS, and it is also my first photo submission. Please give some suggestions on how to take a better photo. Thank Kuuu!

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

This is a wonderful shot with great perspective.
The clarity and framing are spot on.
I hope you continue. I would enjoy seeing a few more keys in a shot or perhaps the interior strings.
Very nicely done and how you removed all the fingerprints is beyond me. lol

Welcome to Caedes Jo
Congratulations on your first upload, your an artist now. :o) We even have a "music gallery" here, & you could edit / enter it there if you wish. Dark images tend to pick up more noise, & they can sometimes look cleaner if their gently filtered through "anti noise software"
Enjoy yourself here .. Phil Flossman doing a CCR

Big brother's watching you :o) A mistreated dog should try to leave a deposit on their masters best carpet, after all it's important to establish who's boss ... Welcome to the last resort. :o)

I really like this. Good tonal range, love the black and white. Very artistic. Some ways you could improve it: there's a smudge on the left key that is distracting...clean it or shoot a different group of keys. Also, it seems like there isn't any plane in the picture that is in focus. The foreground is really close, but not quite there. If you could get the foreground completely in focus and have it back out into the background, it would be a much stronger image. All in all though, I love what you are trying for, and this makes a noteworthy first entry! Well done.
