Just something I did for my mother and for fun. These are digital shots of my youth photos that my mother recently gave me. I took shots of the old photos, fixed some flaws that time had caused, converted them to grayscale, and made this collage for her using some of them. She also gave me the little jacket I was wearing in the pics on the left corners, and it is still in good shape, although I find it hard to believe I could ever fit into it, LOL! And then there is the pic on the right, I call it 'Whassup James Dean!' ;)

Yes, I grew up in Kansas. Most of these pics were taken at the homes of my grandparents and great-grandparents. Lower left and center pics were at a farm my dad and grandad had just bought, and they were preparing to add on to the house. My dad then built a house across a pasture, and that is where I grew up. Wide open spaces, with a creek running through it, and that creek was my playground as a boy. We had a dairy with usually around 100 milk cows, raised cattle for beef, and farmed around 2000 acres, so as I got old enough to do chores, my time at the creek got traded in for work, and there was never any shortage of that to be done, LOL! Had a great childhood though, much better than most kids I see today!
