Hietzing, the thirteenth district of Vienna is located at the western end of the city where it borders the forest Wienerwald. Most of the northern border is formed by the River Wien. The Lainzer Tiergarten, a large park in the Wienerwald populated by boars, and Schoenbrunn Palace and the surrounding parks are part of Hietzing. This is a view of a part of Hietzing, where the time stood still ...

The flying tenement, with the arch giving a view through to still further dwellings, really makes this shot and gives it a great sense of history. Good work!

This is really neat Sabine! Like we are walking back in time! Love the old street light & it's shadow on the wall. Great lighting makes for a great shot too! C):-)

that is exactly what it felt like to me in Salzburg Sabine - like time had stood still! excellent light on the buildings, especially where the lamp's shadow falls against the wall!

So beyond this beautifully laid out urban street there is a forest with boars in it? Yikes...no wonder they're all huddled together :) I really like the soft colors here and everyone else has touched pretty much on why I also am enjoying this vista :)

My comments will be hit and miss for the next month or so. I'm preparing to return to the U.S. on 1 Aug and will be on vacation until 20 Aug or so...I will be checking though and I look forward to your great shots! L8R...G8R
