I like this title better. Seems to say it all. What a lovely shot, but it looks like if she scoots over any more he might hit the deck. Framing and view is really good Ballou. Very nice.
I have to agree with Tick...there are boundaries that people either build up and live with...still in love...or overcome and grow old with...still in love.
I hope he's not about to fall off the bench, but I have the feeling that she knows his limits.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Nice shot and framing and such, but it's not down my alley really. Such is life. ;) I guess it's because I'm terrible on this kind of subject myself. ^_^ One thing that came to my mind as the most interesting thing to me, is their gaze in many ways. They look at the boat or something in that direction at least and that makes it into a story, instead of just a shot of a couple of a bench with random scenery. One subconsciously follow their attention out to the right corner of the photo and conveniently rests ones eyes on the boat that is passing bye. I didn't think I had so much to say about this piece, but there you go. :)
These folks appear to be completely comfortable with each other. A well composed and clear shot. The framing is interesting with the B/W surrounding the color image. You've created a lovely and thoughtful scene Ballou :^>
