Mighty impressive sky! Wow, I'd run for cover whether I saw a tornado looming or not! It sure looks like Dorothy's home in Kansas back there. Amazing shot this is.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

OH OH, Laura.... I used to go to boarding school in Tahlequah OK and I know this sky...I can see the funnels shaping up already..great shot and a brave one on your part, my friend.
The wall cloud formation is obvious in this shot. Ominous in appearance. Was this a case of more guts than sense???? Its a beautiful shot, but that wall looks too close for comfort.
Mom, I was standing in my backyard when I took this shot. Doesn't the view look familiar??? It wasn't long after this shot that I loaded up the kids in Ol' Yeller and headed for the farm at high speed. :-)

LOL!! your commentary with you and your mom made me smile! Im glad you escaped in ol yeller!! :-) and i hope the storm wasnt too bad! Lovely shot, those clouds are amazing!
That is a great Wall Cloud picture! For the first time in my 26 yrs, I have seen a bunch of these in Western, Ky for the past couple of years. I have not been fortunate to catch them on film like this though. I have chased many of them trying to catch a funnel cloud. =) We had an F3 touch down about half a mile from my house last november. I missed the storm in action, but I have pictures of the aftermath. It was the worse I'd seen in my whole 26yrs in my town. They say were the new "Tornado Ally".
I'm obsessed with weather, so I'm jelouse you got such a good pic. =) j/k. Love it!
Peace,
