Caught this young buck casting a weary eye at me from the trees. He didn't seen to mind me being there but when I tried to move in closer he moved off into the deep trees and disapeared.

He is a youngster, isn't he? He's going to grow into a big one from the looks of him. Excellent capture and I like the surrounding forest.

What a capture Chuck, either he was waiting for you or you were waiting for him. Either way you both did good. Like the clarity and the composition very much. Good post, thanks for sharing this beauty of nature.

Chuck, I really like how your buck is framed by the position of the trees. And he's looking right at you ... well done! - Patty

He must have just stopped by to say "Howdy Chuck!" Still has the velvet covered antlers I see. Good shot of him..lucky you to get to see these beauties every day!

Beautiful shot and pose Chuck ... you nailed him good. I think cropping that tree stump on the right would improve this image. To me it distracts from the subject deer which you've caught so well. I'm liking the clarity in this shot ... just great!

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

Oh, this wildlife scene is marvelous, Chuck! I like how the deer is on higher ground, with the towering pines behind him. Great clarity and focus. I can smell the green from here!
