well, that is only natural, you would be to, if you had to eat from the ground as they have to !!!

All kidding aside, it is a great shot, and the view is incredible beautifull indeed.
As a lover of mountains, i realy would like to know where you took this photo.
Thanks in advance, and for this posting.

Hans.

The contrast of light between foreground and mountains really make this photo zing. Still nice detail in the shadow, too. You'll find if you crop some of the sky out of the picture, you'll end up with some nice compositions, too.

I was so busy looking at the beautiful expanse of nature that I didn't even see the cows for a minute. It's a beautiful view with terrific clarity and beautiful colors Chuck. Outstanding post and I'm so glad you shared it with us.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

This picture is just stunning. I am sure that in their own way the cows know. I can understand why though it seems to be a trate in all of us who live in beautiful surroundings all the time. After a while, it seems to blend into the background. I think we should all make an effort to take more notice of what is on our own door steps. Thanks for sharing this picture is is fantastic.

Ut oh, Jerry better watch his backside. Your creeping up on him. This is beautiful. Love those mountains. I don't know about those being out in such rugged country. Are there not bears around there? Or cyotes? Those cows may become lunch. Beautiful post.

I too, was mesmorized by the play of light and dark...but more so the light and the details on the mountains. Are the lighter colored aspects light rock? I guess it's plain for all to see that the clouds and the sky are wonderful backdrops for the angles and shadows and colors in the background. I agree that this should be cropped, but I'd crop out more of the foreground..no, not the cows...lol..but I wish I were closer to them so I could get a better look at those marvelous mountains. I too would like to have in inkling of where they are. Excellent post :)PJ

It took me a second to see the cows Chuck, I was too busy looking at the sun on those mountains!. Truly beautiful scenery and you're right, those cows don't know how lucky they are.
