These bike riders were from the Nederlands and were biking the San Juans. We saw then the day before and were later caught in the first snowfall of the season at an elevation of close to 11,000 feet. A good Samaritan brought them to the lodge at Platoro and they spent the night. They passed us this day on their way to who knows where.

They have some tales to tell when they get home! It's a good shot and I'm happy to know they were helped!

This is a different sort of capture. I like it. The green grass with patches of snow is nice. i these people better go home. Good work.

Hats off to them for being able to do this. They must really be in good shape to be able to do this but, I bet their reward of really taking the time to see the countryside in this manner far outweighs their troubles. Hope they made it to their destination safe and sound. Very nice capture Chuck.

Not exactly how I'd prefer touring this territory but I have to give them credit for "spunk". All's well that ends well I suppose. Interesting post Chuck.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

They make me weary just watching how hard they seem to be biking uphill ;) Love your composition and colors Chuck and I know they're glad to have had the good Samartin who helped. Nicely done.

Looks tiring here. I used to love cycling, then I got introduced to the Motor bike, then i came off at great speed, now all I can do is think back. I bet they are huffing and puffing on this ride.

AKAJON: Most people lye asleep and notice nothing around them. Just wake up and see the natural beauty around you. It will blow you away.
