Blackrock Castle is a 16th century castle located about 2km from the heart of Cork city on the banks of the river Lee. The castle as you can see has now become an observatory. :-)

A wonderful image. It caught my eye immediately. It's like a scene from a fairy tale. The observatory looks like a castle. I wonder about the boat out in the water with no one in it. Excellent post!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Beautiful photo Paul. Nice composition and the B/W makes it more appealling...gerry

I like this b&w image very much - I would maybe sharpen it just slightly, but the composition is excellent with the boat isolated in the water and the castle positioned to the right in the background. Also nicely framed and titled.
