Finally got around to editing this using the brilliant suggestions of &Trisbert and Purmusic. I think it's better now... I hope. Thanks for the help! (Sorry about the awkward size...)
I think you improved this capture by changing his position to the right side. The effects you've used are quite good - like the blurring around the subject. The brown tones work well towards making this image appear aged. This little fellow looks quite worried - school work can cause those feelings :)
Terrific job Kayla !
Psalm 1:3 "He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper."
Nice work Kayla, and again ... kudos and credit goes to you. For being open to the suggestions made and incorporating them into your image. :o)
Bit redundant as I was one of the partners in the rework crime suggestions :oP ... however, I do think your placement of your focal subject works better with your offset placement as you have it now in the overall composition.
There is still a strong element of nostalgia present as a result of your treatment and that facial expression is still priceless.
Lots of room ... visually now, literally ... to add to and enhance the potential interpretations of the story being told by you here with your subject and the composition as it is presented here now.
Nice work, and thanks for sharing your creative efforts with us. :o)
