Castle Rullingen, Limburg, België In 1640 the castle, as we know it now, was erected in Maaslandic Renaissance style. The frontons above the date stone, the entrances and windows are typically baroque elements. The wrought iron bridge and the lampposts were built later. The swans on the moat arrived at a later date, as well. Another remarkable item is the sundial. After a fire in 1920 the castle was restored between 1921 and 1935 by P. Langerock, His agency replaced the Haspengouw farm near the castle by a French geometric garden. The castle is again being restored in order to safeguard its historic authenticity.
