I really like this. There's some almost fundamental about the shape of the object. (Mutating from the flower to a snake?) I like the colours and textures, too. The only thing I don't like that much is the sun/moon in the background. I think this would look better with a "plain" sky - or maybe move the sun/moon to one side. I like the tail snaking out behind (as the change takes place?).
