I shot this during a light rain shower. Did a little cropping to center the image and then flipped it horizontally. Personally I liked the darker look in this one and actually darkened it more during the editing. I did shoot a few shots using the flash, but it just comes across as a bright lit wet flower. So I decided to stick with the natural light. Some of you may recognize the 'rude-one' making an appearance in the background. Hope you enjoy and your comments always welcomed.

Hi, Wendell...

That is easily one of your best flower photos. The focus and clarity are exceptional. Your composition is well balanced with the other flower blurred in the background. It must not have been much of a downpour. I don't think that cameras and water mix any better than cameras and sledge hammers. I would have given this an 8 out of 10 in the voting booth. That comes out to a 7.5 with the mandatory half point deduction for flowers.

Wendell - A terrific lily photo with the water droplets and depth of field. This particular color lily lends itself to a darker presentation, as the red tones very much stand out. (Since Roger is only nicking flower photos by half a point, he is getting closer to the threshold of accepting them for what they are - beauty in our midst.) Well done my friend. Thad

I really like this Wendell - the DOF with the blurred second lily adds so much and you were very wise to leave it darker. Saved and faved!

I've seen quite a few "wet lily" shots over the past few weeks, Wendell. This, quite simply, is the best of them.

The colours, the composition, the water droplets. It all adds up to a brilliant shot.
