Some decorative details adorning some anonymous building in the government section of downtown Halifax, NS. Took this from across a narrow street looking up 4 stories. Had I been smart I'd have entered the cube farm across the street and gone up to the floor opposite it and taken the photo. So I figured I run this up the flag pole, which I left in the photo. Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Hi, Wendell...How does the title "Harvest" fit into this? I was expecting something from Neil Young. Those really are lovely carvings on the building. A very good shot of some real artistry.

The phrase "I ran up the flagpole" has two meanings to me, Wendell. I have to wonder which one this was. The carvings are magnificent and I like the unusual angle.

Wendell - I think the juxtaposition of modern architecture in the background and this older more ornate building is terrific. That might be lost in an 'on the level' photo. I see the title of the photo in the pilasters. The history behind them would be interesting. Thad

I agree with Thad about the old and new being an interesting mix in this - I would have cloned out the flagpole however as I believe it detracts slightly from your good comp.

It looks like the Goddesses come bearing fruits from their harvest Wendell. I too like the angle.

Wendell, I too like the contrast between the two buildings. The old versu the new. The variety of building materials in the two.

I can see what you meant by "Harvest" The figures all have fruit and vegetables in their arms and on there dress. What type of building is this by chance? I like the image and the architecture!

The colours are certainly harvest-like Wendell. Also the figures look like corn dollies!
