I had the misfortune to meet up with this pretty, young lady one sunny mid-day, a Wednesday I think. I had just pulled up to a perfectly good sitting stump. Those are the ones that aren't oozing sap that tend to ruin the seat of your pants or infested with ants that take a dislike to having their nests disturbed. And them sitting stumps ain't as easy to find as you'd think. They has to be the right height or your knees will creak as you get up off them. But this isn't a photo about a stump is it, besides which I already did that photo.

As I was eating my meager lunch this particular squirrel popped up out of a nearby brush pile and proceeded to talk my ear off. I barely got a word in edgewise the whole conversation. I even offered to share my lunch and that didn't shut her up more than it took her to chew and swallow. Well, I finished my repast and ambled off; with a touch of indigestion mind you, having hurried my vittles down the gullet to get away from the noise and chattering. I like to think she's still sitting on that branch giving the world around her, her own brand of wisdom. It's another story though on whether anyone is a-listening.

Hope you enjoy and your comments welcomed. Bonus points will be awarded to who ever points out the most mistakes, photographically and/or grammatically.

Great narrative and shot, Wendell. From the narrative it sounds like you're describing my first wife.

I think the squirrel believe you are nuts Wendell. If it could read, it would know so. Good action shot.

That is one outstanding capture, Wendell. Great clarity, and an expression on it's face that is a classic. Super shot.

I didn't know the word "vittles" had made it across the Atlantic Wendell. We spell it "wictuals", but pronounce it "vittles". That expression you've captured is so cheeky, it's frightening. I can well understand the indigestion.
