Another clearing of the bin photo. Warning: some wildflowers were harmed in the making of this photo.
This is a shot of the two colour variations of the hawkweed plant. The orange variety is sometimes called the devil's paintbrush. I found these growing in an overgrown field a short distance from each other. Being too far apart to photograph together, I yanked one from the ground and tied it to the stalk of the other. Then I waited for the wind to calm down and proceeded to shoot from point-blank range. Many wild shots later I crawled away contented and with grass-stained knees.
