This image started out as a photograph of the moon shot much earlier tonight. Let's just say the photo was not up to snuff and leave it at that. Besides which we can all be entertained by the moon photos posted by other members who seem to know what they are doing and doing a fine job at it if I might say.

So needing something to do and to keep me occupied and out of trouble I naturally messed around with it, a lot. I more or less applied random effects with no heed to what I was doing and stopped when the computer refused on moral grounds to do any more.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I wondered what the moon looked like last night Wendell. It was cloudy here. I never would have recognized it anyway. Nice manip.

Wendell, I thought I recognized the impact basins, such as Imbrium, Serenitatis, Crisium, Smythii and Orientale. My only complaint is that I believe that you oversaturated the green cheese.

computers dont have moral grounds, i've entertained this debate in an essay regarding the outcome of robot judges, decided we need human biases with a little tinge of machine (impossible).

i thought this was just another manip but like what you did to the moon and think this picture (blown up) is intriguing and i like looking at it. reminds me of painting with watercolors (if i painted with watercolors) and is well crafted

So this moon...!!!! No no, I wont ask you how you ended up producing it. Its too difficult for me to learn on how to shoot the moon like this, lol. Glad that your computer stopped at moral grounds ;)
Nice work Windell
