...or They went thatta way...

This particular fine upstanding gentleman would be Joseph Howe. He can be found most of the time standing on a pedestal outside the provincial Legislature building in downtown Halifax. Should it be particularly foggy or storming you might have a hard time spotting him. You would think a fine citizen like himself would have sense to stay in out of the weather. Here, he is either directing traffic or waving to an acquaintance across the way.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Very nicely done, Wendell. A much less thought of, and very effective angle.

I too like this angle on the shot - he has a wonderful patina.

A step above the run of the mill statue shot Wendell. I think even the pigeons would think twice after seeing it from this angle. Enjoyed reading about the great man and liked his thoughts before he wrote anything. All in all a very good post.

I think he is say hello there my good friend Wendell is that a bold patch I see lol.Great looking photo and nice sharp detail as well in this shot. The fence and trees crate a nice frame work in this shot and the flags had that nice touch of colour to the scene too.

Hey, Wendell...Seems to me I've seen this statue before, but I glanced through your gallery and didn't find it. I'm still getting used to my new monitor; so I'm not sure if I'm seeing things or not. It almost looks like there's a black outline around the statue (especially his outstretched hand) as if you picked up the statue and dropped it into another photo. Other than that, I can't find anything to complain about. Oversaturate the shot and add some noise, and it's winner.
