Now the smart thing to do would have been to open the cage and move that damn bowl so the light was not reflecting off it. The stupid thing to do would have been to open the cage and have an angry cat jump out and claw me. Too bad I dropped the camera for that shot. The scratches are healing nicely.

i have two wendell, got lotsa scars too,great shot though the cat looks very determined!!

Cameras are like people--sometimes they lose focus.
It's about time some one put you in your place,well scratch your eyes out you say.I like this shot and the angle you took the shot from also.But were are the droplets of blood my friend,lol.Also it would help if you fed it, poor cat.

Well, Wendell, what can I say that hasn't already been said by some fine photographers and in your narrative. I didn't mean to imply that you weren't a fine photographer.

That's not much better.
I'll get to the point. Pretty nice little photo of your cat. As you said the reflection from the bowl is a little disconcerting and detracts from the subject of the photograph which I believe is supposed to be the cat. The focus seems a little off as the blue blanket immediately to the left of the cat is perfectly focused. Additionally, what's the deal with the top of the cat's right ear (on my left)? My favorite part of the photo is that white linen cloth behind the cat. Excellent textures when viewed at 400% and would make a great abstract shot. 5.7 out of 10 for me, ol' Buddy.
