or For Sail.

Another lakefront property with an uncooperative sky. I ordered some dramatic cloud cover from the finest of manufacturers. But the project budget was less than I thought and I was only able to afford some leftovers they had floating around the warehouse. I'm hoping the proceeds from the sale of the boat will allow me to get some huge billowing clouds for use in some other shot.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I see the smoke signals the Indians are sending out for more clouds Wendell. They will get them for you. Looks like a nice place to live. You would make a great realtor.

I like the shot, Wendell, but it's not flawless. I bet you're surprised that I'm not awarding this a 10 and have the gumption to tell you why.

First of all I like the colors. Some dramatic clouds would have been nice, but I spent all day taking photos under a cloudless sky. The little buggers in the back left are nice enough. The shot is well focused considering that you probably took this shot while standing on one foot in a row boat. Good light and dark contrast gives the shot some depth.

HOWEVER, I call this a "sandwich" shot. There's too much sky in the background and too much water in the foreground leaving only a relatively thin slice of meat in the middle. I personally would have cropped out half the sky and half the water and then cropped the left side so that the boat was very near the edge and cropped the right so that the house was near the edge on the right. Since Thad hasn't arrived yet, so let me be the first to suggest that the shot would have been improved if the power poles and power lines had been cloned out.

All and all I'd give this only a 5. Most of your stuff is at least a 7 although this was a 3

Very nice photo and i love the angle you took this shot from my friend. The blue water with the slightly light blue sky gives a nice feel to this photo as well.As for more cloud you could have clone lol.

That row boat on the right ain't sold yet, is it? That's just my style, and since I done lost one of my paddles to the boat I got, I figger I might as well just get a whole new one. Or, new to me, anywho. Ya think I can get change back if I offered a 20 for it? LOL. Beautiful shot, Wendell.

I have to agree with "Dot" although I do not post many 'real' photos but I still see balance when there is balance and this would do well to have been cropped the way Dot explained.I also would have lightened it up somewhat and sharpened it a little more but otherwise nice place for sure buddy!!:):)

Wendell - Does the party boat come with the house? That could be the deal breaker! Thad
