Another scene seen from the road. This time traveling at a much slower speed. I think the curve in the road played a part in that, or maybe it was the police cruiser traveling behind us and the bus load of nuns in front. This particular farm is located on a Pleasant Valley road; it turns out there are several Pleasant Valleys to be had in this province. So calling it "The Pleasant Valley Road" would have been a bit presumptuous on my part.

For those of you paying attention my order of clouds finally came in and I decided to try a few different ones out in this photo. Feel free to point out the ones that don't belong. I just hope I can fit these ones back in the original packaging for return if necessary. To stop Dorothy from complaining about the utility poles and wires that were present in the scene I had them removed and arranged to drive by the site for another photo. Arranging for the nuns and police escort took some effort though.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

It looks like you were busy excavating and putting in underground cables for all the utilities. It is a wonderful scene that shows the capabilities for raising large families. I suspect many spent their formative years working and playing in Pleasant Valley, Wendell. Some probably became nuns or cops. Great post.

It's obvious that you under paid the cloud maker as he quit producing the nice little puffy clouds and switched to flat white
in protest.
I suspect he wasn't a photographer or he would have known that the delightful and picturesque farm was the major subject :-).

Well, Wendell, you can try to stop me from bitching about one thing, but you know that I'll just come up with something else. Like Santa with his extensive lists of the who's been naughty and who's been nice, I have a checklist of photography do's and dont's.

First of all, for a black and white posting, there really are too many colors. And please explain to me how this farm has telephone access and electricity with no power poles. Whoops, wrong list.

While it nearly kills me to say this, I really like the shot. My only comment about improving the shot goes along with Doug's comment about the sky since it takes up 2/3 of the shot. There's a small amount of motion blur in the conifer in the left foreground which is pretty darn good work under the circumstances.

This is a very good view of the picturesque farm, nice colors and amazing clarity given that this was shot from a moving car while you were ogling some nuns. I see no noise in the sky. Someday you'll have to explain to me what I'm doing wrong.

Well again not a bad shot seeing you was on the move again. The colours in them building are great and the sky yes there is a lot but that the sky for you lol. What I like about the sky is it gives the photo a feel of distance as it runs off into the distance if you no what I mean. The strange witchcraft star on the red building caught my eye was that were the nuns were heading for lol.

I really like this shot Wendell - especially the big sky - no few puffy clouds for me give the whole enchilada! Really nice work.
