Contrary to all appearances this was shot on a brilliantly sunny and what passes for a blistering hot in these parts day. Temperatures crawled into the low 30°C range and flies were seen to drop out of the sky. Well maybe not so much drop as descend in angry hoards to land on exposed skin and take honking big bites out of it before buzzing off, often times safely. Let's just say there were a lot of slap-happy fools wandering the fields that day, me perhaps the happiest of them all.:)
These wildflowers naturally belong to the "I have no idea what they are" species. Commonly found growing everywhere I happen to travel; whether it be the deepest darkest forest trail or in the middle of some formal garden. I manage to always come across some member of that family of flower. I never realized it had so many varieties.
Enjoy and your comments welcomed.
