As in there is nothing to be seen in the pink bloom, honestly.

Shot earlier today while visiting the Public Gardens in Halifax. According to a plaque found nearby this flower bed is the I.O.D.E. (Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire) Rose Garden. There were a lot more than the few meager blooms seen here, otherwise they might as well have called it the Rose Flower Pot and gotten it over with. Then again some careless worker might have moved the plaque from it's original position and this is the carnation chair or the tulip table. Or whatever technical term landscapers dream up.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Yet another well deserved record has been shattered, Wendell. I read the narrative three times, smiled unknowingly and gave up trying to figure it out. It's late, and I'm tired; but the meaning of the title eludes me even after reading the first sentence in the narrative over and over. I guess it's one of those things like when you say, "If it was a snake, it would have bit me." Very obvious to everyone but me.

Oh, I forgot about the image. This truly is a trixxie-esque beauty. You're right up there with the big boys on this flower shot. I'm most impressed with the detail and the perfect DoF although the colors ain't exactly shabby. I hear they have an operation to fix those varicose veins in the petals. Worth at least a 7.5 in my book. I wish you would toss me a bone with some noise or oversaturation. There's something about complimenting you that just touches a raw nerve.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

It looks like it has swallowed a sunbeam, Wendell. Very good sheen to it. Martin not Charlie.
